As you become proficient playing Star Rangers you will earn Medals along the way. Some if these will be achieved simply by playing the game and progressing through the ranks – others you will have to work on!
Unearned Medals are in gray; earned Medals appear in color. Tap on any Medal to find out what is required to receive it, along with its point value. Double-tap any Medal to bring up all earned Medals again. Each Medal is worth points and will accumulate toward your total score. [Note that deleting Star Rangers will remove the earned Medals history records from your device.]
- Space Jockey – Complete any game of Galaxy Defense (10 points)
- Astro Aviator – Complete a game of Galaxy Defense on Ace (25 points)
- Steel Star – Earn the rank of Fighter Class 5; this also unlocks the Fighter level (10 points)
- Titanium Star – Earn the rank of Warrior Class 5 on Fighter; this also unlocks the Warrior level (20 points)
- Duranium Star – Earn the rank of Ace Class 5 on Warrior; this also unlocks the Ace level (30 points)
- Neutronium Star – Earn the rank of Star Ranger Class 1 on Ace (50 points)
- Combat Readiness – Complete any mission on Ace in less than 20 minutes (40 points)
- Ace Fighter Cross – Complete Galaxy Defense on Ace with no damage to your ship (100 points)
- Stellar Defense – Complete The Last Starbase mission on the Ace level (50 points)
- Ghost of Copernicus – Find and destroy 12 cloaked Ghost ships in The Last Starbase mission. Cloaked Ghost ships are only visible briefly while viewing in the Galactic Map, and then only when they move to a new sector. These special ships do appear on LRS and Tracking when you are in the same sector, however. (25 points)
- Star Killer – Destroy 5,000 enemies in any combination of games and missions. (75 points)
- Galactic Defender – Destroy 10,000 enemies in any combination of games and missions. (150 points)
- Sharp Shooter – Destroy 4 enemies in 8 seconds or less. (10 points)
- Star Ranger Cross – Kill 30 enemies on an Ace mission without docking at a Starbase. You can refuel at a Fuelbase, however. (25 points)
- Meritorious Service – Play Star Rangers for at least 25 hours total time. (5 points)
- Distinguished Service – Play Star Rangers for at least 100 hours total time. (25 points)
- Andromeda Cluster – Play an entire game of Galaxy Defense on Ace without ever turning your shields on. You must turn your shields off before making your first hyperspace jump. (150 points)
- Medal of Honor – The highest award issued by Star Command. (150 points)
